Class Descriptions
ADULTS CLASSES
Beginner Jiu Jitsu (Age 16+) – A program designed for beginners. In this class, you’ll dive into a basics curriculum to understand Jiu Jitsu. This class will introduce the foundations and basic techniques of the art.
Gi (All Levels) – Where students learn techniques and sequences in the Gi. Students also start sparring in this class.
No Gi (All Levels) – A class that focuses on the no gi aspect of Jiu Jitsu.
Positional Mastery (All Levels) – Focuses on the same position all month and dives into offense, defense, counters, and combos that can be done from the position of the month.
Open Mat (Gi/No Gi) – Open to the public. Come in get your sparring rounds in with members and non-members. Must have prior experience and enough BJJ knowledge to be able to participate safely.
Pop-Up Sessions – This time slot rotates weekly and can range from age or gender specific open mats, to Judo classes, or other events. TBA monthly.
Yoga Restorative – Yoga class dedicated to healing and restoring the body.
CLA – Constraint-Led Approach – This class is focused on learning moves through games and exercises that focus more on goals rather than memorization. To learn how to organically accomplish the goal of the class whether it be a submission or position.
Competition Class – Focused more on points, rule sets, and training for tournaments. Non-competitors may attend too.
Rolling Session – Session for members to come in to do rounds in Gi or Nogi attire depending on the prior class.
Kids Classes – Focused on specific age groups
*Classes are also offered to homeschooled and charter school kids. We operate a non-political and non-religious program. Our Jiu Jitsu program is focused purely on physical education, fitness, self defense, and the martial arts.
